Ric’s career began as an analyst and data security analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. He has supervised a financial settlement unit and was responsible for data security and custody control training to protect the bank and its employees. He then moved to a software role in the Treasury Direct Department where he developed software to distribute information across the entire Federal Reserve System.
Ric later moved to Wilson Hewitt & Associates, where he managed a team that developed FundSmith, a proprietary fund management tool for the financial print giant Bowne & Co. (now R.R. Donnelly).
In his next role at FXPress, he continued to develop financial software geared towards multi-national corporations including a project to integrate their software with Goldman Sachs’ trading platform. FXPress’ software assisted their clients in hedging their exposure to fluctuations in foreign currency.
In 2001, he became director of information technology at RealWinWin, where he oversaw software development projects and the company’s technology infrastructure while earning MCSE, MCSA, and MCITP certifications. At RealWinWin he worked with a team of developers to create NOI Builder, a product to calculate a commercial real estate owner’s portion of the savings for energy efficiency projects, web services to provide integration to a proprietary database of utility rebate eligible HVAC equipment for a major manufacturer of HVAC equipment, and also their flagship tracking system for following clients’ utility rebates.
In 2005, Ric started Hayman Consulting, which grew into Provident Technology, the company he owns today.
Ric is a long-time resident of the Bella Vista section of Philadelphia where he serves on the boards of the Bella Vista Neighbors Association, Friends of the South Street Police Mini-Station, and Friends of Charles Santore Library.
